The road to Tra Su is actually not interesting because the session leading to the forest is rather bad, which makes the Innova car one thinks there will be an accident at once if the driver is careless for a while.

However, that is just the initial feeling. As soon as we arrived at Tra Su, stand in font of the bridge leading to the entrance, a light feeling suddenly comes. A long canal with cool water. A faraway range of indigo forsets, deeply green. The most special thing is the mysterious space created by the silence of the forests, deeply green. The most special thing is the mysterious space created by the silence of the forests. Evreything really starts to attract us.

Once coming here, we realize a new thing. If some time you need an adventure in wild forest with frightening feeling, want to “ temporarily” forget the concerns of a work overloaded life or “ sometimes”wish to live alone amidsr nature…, maybe Tra su indigo forest will be a place to bring those in need all the interesting feelings.

The director of the farm is nearly like a genuine “ Old Uncle “ Sincere saying, friendly smile, “ that farmer” assings a young man as a guide for us and three dual bikes to start…our adventure!

The car can only run from Nui Cam to the entrance of the indigo forest, about 15km. Here, the Management Board of the tourist area willl provide dual bikes for tourists to enjoy freely the pastime of riding bicycles and visiting the forest. This road is about 5- 6km. Then tourist will use another mean, small boat, to thread the twists and turn of the forest.

Sitting on small boats, gently rowing on the pure clear water and watching tens of bird kinds flying noisily above indigo tops, we thinks as if we lost our way and entered a fairyland.

As far as our eyes can see, there is only a small land, which is wide enough for a wheel. Above us is the green of indigo tops and below is a ditch where somestimes we hear slightly strange sound caused by the fish waggling tail.

Having an opportunity to go through forests in bright moonlight with dual bikes, we ear so delighted. Althoungh beading with perspiration and breathing hard,

we alll scream excitedly, which stirs the whole forest as, if we had enioyed such wonderful feelings for the first time.

The high dangerours footbridge, which is a fair trait of South Vietnam, makes us feel a little bit afraid in

a…lovely way. Getting used to the adventuring feeling, despite of our nervousness, we eagerly climb up a nearly 20m high observatory to watch flocks of birds flying back to their nest in the sun set. We enjoybaked labeobard fish, snake head fish steamed in calabash, jungle fowl baked with chili salt, field crab eaten with tamerind sauce…. Specially, we enjoy the dishes, exchange stories about forests and listen to the melodious traditional singings of rural girls,…. Everything here, from the sound, sunlight to the taste and flvour of each “ hick” dish, has a very distinct feature that exist nowhere else.

“ Tra Su is beautiful! But it is desolate, so it receives few visitor!” We all think so. However, this very wildness and desolation. Creates the special feature of this place. Leaving behind alll the daily anxiety, mentioning this place, it cannot be said with axaggeration that we feel as if we enjoyed all the happpiest things of life, right in the indigo forest wild but rich in countrydide sensation.

Tra Su indigo forest has left inside us the sweetest happiness although we have just come here once. Certainly, this shall be one of the most interesting detinatonos of South Vietnam waterways in a near future.
